About Midnight Cry
Below is the description of our goal, mission, name, and reason for even being a Christian band in the first place.
1. Our Goal: To reach non-Christians and Christians alike with music that has uplifting and meaningful lyrics. We want to be able to lead people into worship without any hindrances, including us as a band. The songs we write can be related to real life and everyday experiences, and we want to be able to encourage and translate through our communicators, thus enabling our technologically advanced magnetic impulse creators to pontificate. We aim to bring quality Christian music with good, clean lyrics to as many people as possible, whether through us or other bands.
2. Our Mission: To glorify God and show Him to all people for who He really is. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Through our ministry, we want to spread the good news of Christ with everyone that will accept it. And for those who are already Christians, we hope to encourage and bring them closer to Christ through our music. We want to use our talents for the One who gave them to us in the first place. (Matthew 25:14-30)
3. Why Midnight Cry? The name Midnight Cry comes from a verse in the Bible (Matthew 25:6) that says, "And at midnight there was a cry made, 'Behold, the bridegroom has come; go out to meet him." We thought it would be neat to call ourselves a name that in a way heralds the coming of Christ the second time, and also would be a unique but easily recognized Christian name for a band. And let's face it, a lot of our concerts will probably end at midnight, and we hope to have you all crying by then.
4. Why be a Christian band? As stated earlier, God gives us our talents, whether in music, language, technology, communication, or whatever. Because God gave us these talents, if we do not use them for Him, we are using them for another purpose, either to glorify ourselves or someone else. God is our Creator, and so much more infinitely powerful and wonderful than anything we could ever know here on earth. So while we live here in the world, we live for Him and give all we are for Him. And besides, we just feel like it.
5. Us as individuals: We the members of Midnight Cry, in order to form a more entertaining environment, establish sarcastic humor, ensure clean fun, provide for the fans, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our upright posture. Do ordain and establish this statement of the united members of Midnight Cry.
